Problems of Danny Smiřický in the books of Josef Škvorecký

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce je zaměřena na problematiku literární postavy Dannyho Smiřického v díle Josefa Škvoreckého. Největší pozornost je věnována především genderově orientované analýze literární postavy. V práci je analyzován vývoj mužského prvku a autorův pohled na vztahy mezi muži a ženami prostřednictvím mužské literární postavy. Část práce je věnována také životu autora, jeho tvorbě a obecně společenskému kontextu, který výrazným způsobem ovlivnil jeho prozaická díla a modelaci literárních postav.

Abstract:

That diploma paper is focused on the problems of literary character Danny Smiřický in the books of Josef Škvorecký. The most attention was given to gender-oriented analysis of the literary character. There is analyzed the development of male element and author´s view at relationships between men and women through the male literary character. Part of that work also concerns to the author?s life, his creation and to the socially context which was important for his prose texts and formation of literary characters.
