Principles of care for children with diarrhea illnesses.

Abstract:

Závěrečná bakalářská práce je zpracovaná na téma "Zásady péče u dětí s průjmovým onemocněním". Zabývá se problematikou průjmového onemocnění v dětském věku, především u dětí do věku předškolního tz. od 0 do 6-7 let. Cílem bakalářské práce je průzkum, který se zaměřuje na informovanost rodičů o péči u dětí s průjmy. Práce se skládá z části teoretické a praktické, kde jsou uvedena i doporučení, která by se mohla uplatnit v praxi. Část teoretická na začátku uvádí některé statistické údaje. Zaměřuje se na vytyčení pojmu průjmového onemocnění. Dále jsou zde uvedeny druhy průjmů, s kterými se můžeme setkat. Důležitou částí je diagnostika, léčba průjmového onemocnění a prevence. Uvedeny jsou zde i komplikace, které mohou nastat, jako je např. dehydratace. V empirické části zjišťujeme, jak jsou informovány rodiče o péči u dítěte, když se u něho vyskytne průjem. Zjišťujeme, jak se orientují v léčebných postupech, zda dodržují základní preventivní opatření a zda se u svého dítěte setkali s nějakými komplikacemi. Průzkumný anonymní dotazník rodiče vyplňovali v čekárně u praktického lékaře pediatra. Výsledky průzkumu jsou pro lepší přehlednost znázorněny v tabulkách a grafech.

Abstract:

This final bachelor thesis deals with the topic "Principles of care for children with diarrhea-related illnesses", which severe mainly pre-school children, i.e. the children from birth to the age of seven. The target of this bachelor work is research, which is focused on parents´ knowledge of the care for children with diarrhea. The work discusses both theoretical and practical aspects and gives recommendations applicable in practice. The starting section of the theoretical part provides some statistical data. It focuses on establishing the concept of diarrhea diseases. Then, kinds of diarrhea widely spread are introduced. Diagnosis, treatment of diarrhea diseases and prevention are also important topics covered with this thesis. Complications, such as dehydration, that can occur are looked into, too. The practical part explores the level of knowledge about the child care parents have when diarrhea breaks out. We learn how they orientate in treatments, whether they follow the basic preventive measures and whether they meet any complications. An anonymous exploratory questionnaire filled in by parents at the waiting room of (practical doctor) pediatricians is attached. For a better clarity, its data are shown in tables and graphs in the second part of this work.
