Genetic Aspects of Crohn´s Disease

Abstract:

Crohnova choroba je chronickým zánětlivým onemocněním trávicího traktu, které má významný dopad na kvalitu života pacientů a vyžaduje komplexní přístup k diagnostice a léčbě. Tato bakalářská práce poskytuje podrobný přehled aktuálních diagnostických metod, léčebných strategií a genetických faktorů spojených s Crohnovou chorobou. Diskutuje se o různých klinických projevech onemocnění, včetně fází remise a vzplanutí, a jejich vztahu k prognóze a léčbě. Dále se zkoumají faktory ovlivňující výskyt Crohnovy choroby, včetně genetických predispozic, enviromentálních faktorů a imunitní dysregulace. S ohledem na stále rostoucí počet případů Crohnovy choroby je důležité nejen léčit samotné příznaky, ale také identifikovat a adresovat hlavní genetické faktory a rizikové proměnné, které mohou ovlivnit její vývoj a průběh. Tato práce se zaměřuje na integraci poznatků z genetického výzkumu do klinické praxe a na využití nových diagnostických a terapeutických strategií ke zlepšení péče o pacienty s Crohnovou chorobou.

Abstract:

Crohn's disease is a chronic inflammatory disorder of the digestive tract that significantly impacts patients quality of life and requires a comprehensive approach to diagnosis and treatment. This bachelor's thesis provides a detailed overview of current diagnostic methods, treatment strategies, and genetic factors associated with Crohn's disease. It discusses various clinical manifestations of the disease, including phases of remission and flare-ups, and their relationship to prognosis and treatment. Additionally, it examines factors influencing the occurrence of Crohn's disease, including genetic predispositions, environmental factors, and immune dysregulation. Given the continuously increasing number of cases of Crohn's disease, it is important not only to treat the symptoms but also to identify and address key genetic factors and risk variables that may affect its development and course. This work focuses on integrating insights from genetic research into clinical practice and utilizing new diagnostic and therapeutic strategies to improve the care of patients with Crohn's disease.
