Management of variable and fixed costs as a tool of enterprise´s controlling

Abstract:

Obsahem diplomové práce je analýza problematiky řízení nákladů v rámci controllingu po teoretické stránce a následně i v praxi vybraného podnikatelského subjektu včetně předložení návrhů autorky pro případné zlepšení procesů. Pro zpracování tématu po praktické stránce byla oslovena společnost Preciosa Lustry, a.s. Teoretická část vysvětluje rozdíly mezi jednotlivými účetními subsystémy, přibližuje oblast nákladů, funkce a činnosti controllingového oddělení, a především se zaměřuje na problematiku řízení nákladů a kalkulačních metod. Praktická část práce charakterizuje vybraný podnik, aktivity controllingového oddělení společnosti se zaměřením na kalkulace přímých a zejména pak nepřímých nákladů z časového hlediska. Zároveň přibližuje používání různých manažerských a controllingových nástrojů v praxi. V závěru práce je zhodnocen současný stav analyzované problematiky a navržena vlastní doporučení vedoucí ke zpřesnění řízení nákladů podniku.

Abstract:

The content of the master's thesis is an analysis of the issue of cost management in controlling from a theoretical point of view and subsequently on the practice of the selected business entity, including the submission of proposals by the of author for possible process improvement. For the purpose of the practice part of the thesis the company Preciosa Lustry, a.s. was approached. The theoretical part explains the differences between individual accounting subsystems, introduces the area of costs, functions and activities of the controlling department, and especially focuses on the issue of cost management and calculation methods. The practical part of the work characterizes the selected company, the activities of the controlling department of the company with a focus on the calculation of direct and especially indirect costs in terms of time. At the same time, it introduces the use of various management and controlling tools in practice. At the end of the work, the current state of the analysed issues is evaluated and own recommendations are proposed leading to the specification of the company's cost management.
