The rehabilitation of a sports patient in results of comminuted spiroid fracture of tibia and fibula: clinical case.

Abstract:

The following paper analyzes the rehabilitation of a sports patient with a multi-fragmentary spiroid fracture of tibia and fibula, treated with an osteosynthesis. In recent studies, it has emerged that this type of operation is the most suitable, with shorter recovery time and a higher chance of returning to the sports activities than others. (Robertson GA 2016) In the case studied, the patient was subjected to an accurate evaluation, including inspection, joint, and muscle tests, thanks to which it was possible to structure objectives and an adequate treatment plan for the patient. The type of treatment used was varied session after session, in order to make the therapy as effective and subjective as possible. (Taberner 2019) The rehabilitation will start with joint mobilizations, stretching and isometric exercises in order to allow the patient to accomplish concentric/eccentric and dynamic exercises, in the last phase. At the end of the physiotherapy cycle, the patient returned to having a normal life, including sports, especially running, which was her biggest concern at the beginning of the treatments.

Il seguente elaborato analizza la riabilitazione di una paziente sportiva con una frattura spiroidea pluriframmentaria di tibia e perone in seguito ad un intervento di osteosintesi. Negli ultimi studi ? emerso che questo tipo di intervento ? il pi? indicato, con tempi di recupero pi? brevi e una possibilit? di rientro all'attivit? sportiva pi? alto rispetto ad altri. (Robertson GA, 2016) Nel caso studiato, la paziente ? stata sottoposta ad una valutazione accurata, compresa di ispezione, esami articolari e muscolari, grazie ad i quali ? stato possibile strutturare obiettivi e un piano di trattamento adeguato alla paziente. La tipologia di trattamento utilizzata ? stata variata seduta dopo seduta, al fine di rendere il trattamento il pi? efficace e soggettivo possibile. (Taberner M, 2019) Il percorso riabilitativo inizier? con mobilizzazioni articolari, esercizi di stretching e isometrici, per poi terminare con esercizi concentrici/eccentrici e dinamici, nell'ultima fase. Alla fine del ciclo di fisioterapia, la paziente ? tornata cos? ad avere una vita normale, compresa l'attivit? sportiva, in particolare la corsa, che era la sua pi? grande preoccupazione all'inizio del trattamento.
