Brazilian favelas: Origin and development of slums in brazilian city Rio de Janeiro
Abstract:
The aim of this work is to analyse the existence of brazilian slums, called „favelas“. It tries to describe the main causes of their origin and development. In the work we especially focus on the area of brazilian city Rio de Janeiro. In conclusion, we will try to define governmental attitudes toward this issue and introduce personal statement of current brazilian president.
Abstract:
Cílem práce je zanalyzování existence brazilských chudinských čtvrtí, jinak známých jako „favely“. Snaží se popsat hlavní příčiny jejich vzniku a vývoje. V práci se především zaměřujeme na oblast brazilského města Ria de Janeira. Závěrem se pokusíme popsat vládní přistupy k této problematice a představit osobní stanovisko současného prezidenta Brazílie.
