Abstract:
This bachelor thesis describes the development of defensive systems of castles in England and continental Europe between the second half of the 11th century and the 14th century. It focuses on the development and the differences of the most common types of castles and their defensive features. It also describes the impact of the Crusades on castle architecture.
Abstract:
Tato bakalářská práce se věnuje vývoji obranných systémů středověkých hradů v Anglii a kontinentální Evropě od druhé pol. 11 stol. do 14 stol. Zaměřuje se na vývoj a rozdíly mezi nejběžnějšími typy hradů a jejich obrannými prvky. Rovněž popisuje vliv křížových výprav na hradní architekturu.
