Options of real self-defense of seniors as a social group at risk

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou fyzické bezpečnosti seniorů, jejich bezpečnostní situací a možnostmi seniorů se účinně bránit případným útokům. Cílem práce je reálně zhodnotit možnosti sebeobrany seniorů, zejména z hlediska jejich fyzických omezení, způsobu života a rizik, které v dnešní česko-slovenské společnosti seniorům hrozí. Stanovený cíl práce sleduje definicí seniorů jako ohrožené skupiny populace, zhodnocením vhodností jednotlivých prvků bezpečnostní prevence. Práce se dále pokouší zmapovat bezpečnostní situaci seniorů, a to ze subjektivního i objektivního hlediska – pomocí kvantitativního dotazníkového výzkumu a sekundární analýze policejních statistik trestné činnosti páchané na seniorech. Diplomová práce hodnotí reálné možnosti sebeobrany seniorů, přičemž se opírá o tato teoretická východiska, co demonstruje návrhem vzorového tréninkového plánu.

Abstract:

This thesis refers to the physical safety of seniors, their security situation and the possibilities of their effective defence. The goal of this thesis is to evaluate the aspects of senior self-defence, in terms of their physical limits, way of life and the security dangers threatening the seniors of present Czechoslovak society. This goal is followed by the definition of seniors as the “endangered group” of population and by evaluating the single self-defence aspects. Next, the thesis tries to figure the security situation of seniors from both – subjective and objective point of view, by the quantitative research and by analysing the police crime statistics. Finally, the evaluation of the real possibilities of effective senior self-defence is demonstrated by the model training plan.
