Monitoring of manganese in the herb layer of forest ecosystem

Abstract:

Diplomová práce je zaměřena na dynamiku změn obsahu manganu během vegetačního období a na stupeň akumulace manganu v pletivech vybraných rostlin rostoucích v podrostu v lokalitě se zvýšeným množstvím manganu v půdě. Součástí je i komplexní monitoring obsahu manganu v listech brusnice borůvky ve východním Krušnohoří. Základní šetření bylo situováno na trvalé výzkumné ploše (S: 50° 37' 03,80''; V: 13° 37' 25,17'') lesní správy Litvínov, vyznačující se vysokým obsahem manganu v půdě. Během vegetační doby (květen-říjen, 2010-2013) byly odebírány části bylin (stonek, list, květ, kořen), v nichž byl metodou AAS stanoven obsah manganu. Během vegetačního období se měnil obsah manganu diferencován dle rostlinného druhu. Nejvyšší obsahy manganu byly zaznamenány v listech ostružiníku křovitého (Rubus fruticosus L.) (12605 mg.kg-1), maliníku obecného (Rubus idaeus L.) (12497 mg.kg-1) a u brusnice borůvky (Vaccinium myrtillus L.) (11159 mg.kg-1). V roce 2013 by proveden monitoring zátěží manganu lesních ekosystémů ve východním Krušnohoří s užitím listů brusnice borůvky, u které byla prokázána akumulace manganu a zároveň je její obecné rozšíření vhodné nejen pro sledování tohoto geografického celku. Nejvyšší obsah manganu byl stanoven u obce Háj u Duchcova (352 m n. m.), jehož hodnota v listech brusnice borůvky dosáhla na 8952 mg.kg-1. Nejnižší hodnota byla naměřena u obce Celná v 756 m n. m. (242 mg.kg-1).

Abstract:

This thesis is focused on dynamic changes of content of manganese during growing season and on a level of accumulation of manganese in selected plant tissues growing in area with high content of manganese. A significant part of the thesis is focused on monitoring of manganese in leaves of blueberry in the eastern Ore Mountains. The basic investigation was situated on the ongoing research area (S: 50° 37' 03, 80''; V: 13° 37' 25, 17'') with high content of manganese in soil in forest near the city Litvínov. During the growing season (May-October, 2010-2013) were taken different parts of plants (stalk, leaf, flower, and root) in which was stated amount of manganese by AAS method. During the growing season the content of manganese was changing differently depending on the species of plant. The highest contents of manganese were observed in leaves of blackberry (Rubus fruticosus L.) (12605 mg.kg-1), raspberry (Rubus idaeus L.) (12497 mg.kg-1) and in blueberry (Vaccinium myrtillus L.) (11159 mg.kg-1). In 2013 there was made a monitoring of manganese contents of forest ecosystems in the eastern Ore Mountains using leaves of Vaccinium myrtillus (L.), which has the ability to accumulate manganese and its occurrence in Ore Mountains is suitable for observation of this geographical area. The highest content of manganese was stated in the village Háj by Duchcov (352 m n. m.), who's content reached to 8952 mg.kg-1. The lowest content was measured by the village Celná in 756 meters above the sea level (242 mg.kg-1).
