Balance sheet and its predicative ability in the chosen company.

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá tématem „Rozvaha a její vypovídací schopnost ve vybraném podniku.“ Rozvaha je jedním z důležitých výkazů v podniku a je nezbytnou součástí finanční analýzy, kterou se tato práce též zabývá. Práce je rozdělena do dvou částí a to na část teoreticko-metodologickou a aplikační. V teoretické části jsou vysvětleny pojmy jako rozvaha, aktiva, pasiva, druhy rozvah a finanční analýza. V aplikační části je představena firma OVB Allfinanz, a.s. a metody finanční analýzy, které jsou představeny v teoretické části, jsou následně aplikovány na výkazy této firmy. Byla provedena horizontální i vertikální analýza a dále analýza poměrových ukazatelů za období pěti let od roku 2009 – 2013 za pomoci účetních výkazů rozvaha a výkaz zisku a ztráty. Závěrem je zhodnocena finanční situace podniku a jsou navržená opatření, která by měla vést k lepšímu hospodaření firmy do budoucna.

Abstract:

This Bachelor´s thesis deals with the theme "Balance sheet and its predictive ability of the chosen company." Balance sheet is one of the important statements in the company and is an essential part of financial analysis, which is also included in this work. The work is divided into theoretical-methodological part and application part. The theoretical part explains concepts such as balance sheet, assets, liabilities, kinds of balance sheets and financial analysis. The practical part introduces the firm OVB Allfinanz, and methods of financial analysis that are presented in the theoretical part and subsequently applied to statements of the company. Both horizontal and vertical analysis and also ratio analysis was used in the time series 2009 - 2013 with the help of financial statements of balance sheet and profit and loss account. Finally, this thesis evaluates the financial situation of the company and the proposed measures, which should lead to better management of the company in the future.
