Strategic and change management in turbulent times

Abstract:

The objective of diploma thesis is to investigate the strategic business environment in turbulence-change times as well as to evaluate the suitability of the application of strategic and change management theories in a particular organization.The theoretical part of diploma thesis is concerned in process of strategic management, which is described by process analysis and from the viewpoint of macro-analysis PEST and PORTERS, internal analysis such as internal audit, value chain and SWOT analysis on which is based the overall long-term strategy for strategic and business plan of a company for the future. In the next section we characterize the process of change management, and also we will outline individual theories of change management, and development of a new one considering today's turbulent times and the latest development of Organizational Learning Theory, which plays an important role in change management. In Practical part we apply all the knowledge and the different methods and analysis to evaluate the activity of a Nissens Slovakia s.r.o. company strategy and specific change processes in the company and their effectiveness.The outcome of diploma thesis based on the analysis of the practical consideration of the processes of changes in Nissens Slovakia s.r.o., mainly in case of concentration in customer services and assessing the preparedness of organizations with a subsequent proposal with recommendations for improvement in process of changes from the strategic view of effective market coverage and profitability of the company
