Translatological and Stylistic Analysis of a Selected Text

Abstract:

This bachelor's thesis deals with the translation of a German-language article on 'The influence of nutrition on the psyche' into Czech and the subsequent translatological and stylistic analysis. The theoretical part is dedicated to the development of translatology and important representatives of this field. It deals with the problems of translation, different approaches to translation and briefly introduces the types of translation. The second half of this section then focuses on micro- and macro-stylistics and describes scientific style, its use and its special features. The practical part of the thesis includes the translatological and stylistic analysis of the text. The translatological analysis focuses on the differences and similarities between the Czech translation and the German original. In the stylistic analysis, the character of the article and its special features are analysed in more detail. Subsequently, attention is paid to individual linguistic phenomena, stylistic devices and their purpose.

Abstract:

Diese Bachelorarbeit befasst sich mit der Übersetzung eines deutschsprachigen Artikels zum Thema "Der Einfluss der Ernährung auf die Psyche" ins Tschechische und der anschließenden translatologischen und stilistischen Analyse. Der theoretische Teil widmet sich der Entwicklung der Translatologie und wichtigen Vertretern dieses Bereichs. Er befasst sich mit den Problemen der Übersetzung, verschiedenen Übersetzungsansätzen und stellt kurz die Arten der Übersetzung vor. Die zweite Hälfte dieses Abschnitts befasst sich dann mit der Mikro- und Makrostilistik und beschreibt den wissenschaftlichen Stil, seine Verwendung und seine Besonderheiten. Der praktische Teil der Arbeit umfasst die translatologische und stilistische Analyse des Textes. Die translatologische Analyse konzentriert sich auf die Unterschiede und Gemeinsamkeiten zwischen der tschechischen Übersetzung und dem deutschen Original. In der stilistischen Analyse werden der Charakter des Artikels und seine Besonderheiten genauer untersucht. Anschließend wird auf einzelne sprachliche Phänomene, Stilmittel und deren Zweck geachtet.
