Non-financial reporting of commercial banks

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá nefinančním reportingem komerčních bank, který je zaměřen na tři základní oblasti, a to environmentální, sociální a správu a řízení. Pomocí statistické metody regresní analýzy byl zjišťován vliv vybraných nezávislých proměnných z uvedených oblastí na finanční výkonnost bank. Do zkoumaného vzorku byly vybrány komerční banky z České republiky a Německa za rok 2021. Jako statisticky významné proměnné byly stanoveny nákladové položky komerčních bank, a to lidské zdroje a sociální investice. Na základě těchto výsledků byla následně formulována doporučení pro komerční banky z toho vyplývající a diskutovány další návrhy na zlepšení.

Abstract:

The thesis deals with non-financial reporting of commercial banks, which focuses on three main areas, namely environmental, social and governance. The statistical method of regression analysis was used to investigate the impact of selected independent variables from these areas on the financial performance of banks. Commercial banks from the Czech Republic and Germany for the year 2021 were selected for the study sample. The cost items of commercial banks, namely human resources and social investments were identified as statistically significant variables. Based on these results, recommendations for commercial banks were subsequently formulated and further suggestions for improvement were discussed.
