Prophecia beate Hildegardis de fratribus minoribus. An annotated transcription with literary-historical interpretation

Abstract:

V této práci jsme pořídili edici latinského textu „Prophecia beate Hildegardis de fratribus minoribus“z rukopisu uloženého ve Státním oblastním archivu v Třeboni (signatura A3, folio 126a-126b), a jeho překlad do češtiny. Text je znám rovněž podle svého incipitu „Insurgent gentes“. Toto anonymní proroctví, jehož vznik někteří badatelé kladou do okruhu pařížského učence Wilhelma de Sancto Amore, je zaměřené proti mendikantským řádům a zaštiťuje se jménem vizionářky, abatyše a spisovatelky Hildegardy z Bingen (1098-1179). Jejímu životu a dílu jsme věnovali druhou kapitolu. Třetí kapitola pak nejprve pojednává o vývoji konfliktů žebravých řádů se světským klérem ve středověkých Čechách. Její nejobsáhlejší část je věnována čtyřem významným osobnostem 2. poloviny 14 století (Konrád Waldhauser, Milíč z Kroměříže, Vojtěch Raňkův z Ježova, Matěj z Janova), v jejichž díle byla kritika mendikantů častá.

Abstract:

In this thesis we edited the latin text „Prophecia beate Hildegardis de fratribus minoribus“from the manuscript stored at State regional archives Třeboň (signature A3 folio 126a-126b) and we translated it into Czech. This text is also well known after its incipit „Insurgent gentes.“ This anonymous prophecy, whose origin is sometimes placed into circle of Parisian scholar Wilhelm de Sancto Amore, has strictly antimendicant character and shields itself with a name of a visionary, abbess and writer Hildegard from Bingen (1098-1179). With her life and work deals the second chapter of our thesis. The following chapter is firstly concerned with the history of conflicts between mendicant orders and and secular clergy in Medieval Bohemia. The most extensive part deals with four important names of the 2nd half of the 14th century (Conradus de Waldhausen, Adalbertus Ranconis de Ericinio, Milicius de Chremsir et Matthias de Janov), in whose works were attacks against mendicant orders common.
