Church gymnazium in Velehrad

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá dějinami původního jezuitského gymnázia na Velehradě v letech 1916 – 1950. Kromě historie se zaměřuje na celkovou charakteristiku studia a popisuje také mimoškolní a volnočasové aktivity studentů. Dále se práce zabývá obnoveným gymnáziem od roku 2004 po současnost. Popisuje vznik obnoveného gymnázia, jeho poslání a celkovou charakteristiku školy. V textu též nechybí stručná historie klášterní budovy, ve které gymnázium sídlí a popisuje také okolnosti příchodu Tovaryšstva Ježíšova na Velehrad. Práce dále rozebírá periodikum Zprávy velehradské, které je s gymnáziem úzce spojeno a stalo se jedním z významných pramenů. V závěru bakalářské práce jsou uvedeny medailonky významných osobností se školou spojené.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with the history of the original jezuits gymnazium in Velehrad between the years 1916 – 1950. Apart from the history it concentrates on the whole characteristics of the education and also describes extracurricular and leisure time activities of students. Further, the thesis deals with the restored gymnazium from the year 2004 up to the present. It describes its establishment, its mission and the whole characteristic of the school. The thesis also provides a brief history of the monastery building, in which the gymnazium is situated and describes the circumstances of the arrival of the Society of Jesus to Velehrad. The thesis also examines the periodical Zprávy velehradské, which is closely related to the gymnazium and became one of the significant sources. At the end of my bachelor thesis you can find brief biographies of people connected with the school.
