Abortion in Moravian-Silesian Region

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce má za úkol podat ucelený obraz o vývoji potratovosti v Moravskoslezském kraji. Práce je rozdělená na teoretickou a praktickou část. V teoretické části, je vymezen pojem potrat, jsou v ní popsané jednotlivé druhy potratů a rovněž to, jak tyto druhy vznikají. Dále je v práci vysvětlen rozdíl mezi chemickým a chirurgickým potratem a faktory, které potratovost ovlivňují. Práce se zabývá také popisem interrupční legislativy České republiky včetně vývoje potratovosti v období 2. demografického přechodu. Zároveň je v práci popsaná interrupční legislativa Polska, Irska a Malty. Praktická část je rozdělena na podkapitoly, které popisují vývoj potratovosti v pětiletých obdobích (poslední období je šestileté). Práce se rovněž zaměří také na popis Moravskoslezského kraje včetně demografického vývoje. V závěru práce je shrnutí veškerých vypozorovaných poznatků za sledované období získaných z analýzy dat ČSÚ a UZIS. Závěr práce podá výsledky analýzy dat a pokusí se najít možné důvody, proč k těmto skutečnostem došlo.

Abstract:

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to provide a comprehensive picture of the development of the abortion rate in the Moravian-Silesian Region. The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical parts. In the theoretical part, the concept of abortion is defined, the different types of abortion are described, as well as how these types arise. Furthermore, the thesis explains the difference between chemical and surgical abortion and the factors that influence abortion. The thesis also describes the abortion legislation in the Czech Republic, including the development of abortion rates during the second demographic transition. At the same time, the abortion legislation of Poland, Ireland and Malta is described. The practical part is divided into subchapters describing the development of abortion rates in five-year periods (the last period is six years). The thesis also focuses on a description of the Moravian-Silesian region, including demographic development. The thesis concludes with a summary of all the findings for the period under study obtained from the analysis of CSO and UZIS data. The thesis concludes with the results of the data analysis and attempts to find possible reasons why these facts occurred.
