Abstract:

Diagram stratigrafické separace (SSD) je často opomíjený nástroj pro analýzu zlomů, která umožňuje interpretaci geometrie zlomu a mechanismus pohybu. Vzhledem k tomu, že SSD diagram hodnotí posunutí nebo separaci podél zlomu, je nutné tuto metodu používat jen v oblastech s podrobně zpracovanou stratigrafií. Tato práce detailně popisuje příklady použití SSD diagramů na různých zlomech a současně na dvou zdánlivě podobných zlomech v barrandienu. Studium paleonapjatostní analýzy a výzkum hornin porušených těmito zlomy doplňuje údaje o těchto zlomech. Ačkoli obě zlomové struktury, pražský zlom a struktura jílové rozsedliny a závistského přesmyku, mají zdánlivě podobný charakter (subvertikální sklon, porušení spodnopaleozoických a proterozoických hornin, šikmý průběh vůči směru vrstevnatosti, symetrický průběh vzhledem k ose pražské synformy), diagramy SSD ukazují rozdíl v geometrii zlomu a současně rozdíly v jejich vývoji a mechanismu vzniku. Pražský zlom byl dvakrát během relativně krátkého časového úseku aktivovaný a vznikl jako přesmyk brzy po počátečním vrásnění a násunové tektonice, do současné subvertikální pozice byl rotován v průběhu formování pražské synformy. Jílová rozsedlina a závistský přesmyk vznikly jako jednotná struktura. Hlavní pohyb podél zlomové plochy řadí tuto strukturu do skupiny horizontálních posunů. Kompenzační struktury na obou koncích ukazují na levostranný smysl pohybu. Diagramy stratigrafické separace prokazují jejich použitelnost a efektivitu pro analýzu těchto zlomů v kombinaci se stratigrafií bez nutnosti použití 3D seismiky nebo vrtů.

Abstract:

The stratigraphic separation diagram (SSD) is an often neglected tool of fault analysis, which allows for the interpretation of both the fault-surface geometry and the mechanism of faulting. As the SSD diagram needs to evaluate displacement or separation along the fault, this particular method can be used only in areas with well-documented stratigraphic sequences. This thesis details some common patterns when using SSDs and also physical examples of two apparently similar faults found in the Barrandian area in the Czech Republic Paleostress analyses of fault-slip data and study of fault-wall rocks complement data about these faults. Although both the Prague and the Clay-Závist faults in the Barrandian area seem to be of the similar character (high-angle fault surface, cutting both Lower Paleozoic and Proterozoic rocks, oblique direction due to bedding, symmetrical position with respect to the axis of the Prague Synform), the SSDs of these two faults demonstrates consequently the difference in fault surface geometries and a very distinct history and mechanism of origin. The Prague fault was activated twice during short geological time range as a reverse fault after the initial folding and thrusting, and consequently was rotated to recent vertical position when the Prague Synform was originated. The Clay and Závist faults were unified to one fault. The main movement along the fault surface classifies this fault to a group of strike-slips. Accommodative structures at the both ends indicate sinistral sense of movement. Stratigraphic separation diagrams demonstrate their applicability and effectiveness as tools for the fault analysis of these types of faults and associated stratigraphies without the need of 3D seismics or boreholes.
