Abstract:

Cílem bakalářské práce je přiblížit tvorbu brněnského fotografa Petra Klimpla a zasadit ho do kontextu doby jeho nejaktivnější tvorby, tj. 70.-80. let 20. století. V práci jsou představeny jeho fotografické začátky, kdy se věnoval divadelní fotografii a městské krajině. V první polovině 70. let vytváří svůj první cyklus fotografií opuštěných městských zákoutí s názvem Mizející svět. Na přelomu 70. a 80. let se věnuje portrétní fotografii a subjektivně dokumentární tvorbě, ovlivněnou jak vizualismem, tak hlavně teorií tzv. nerozhodujícího okamžiku, který definoval Vladimír Birgus. Ta je také předmětem zájmu fotografické skupiny Dokument, kterou založil Klimpl společně s Vladimírem Birgusem a Josefem Pokorným. Zmíněna je také reportážní fotografie a Klimplova účast na fotografických dílnách, stejně jako výstava Česká amatérská fotografie 1945-1989, jíž byl kurátorem. V závěru práce se pokusím zasadit Klimplovu tvorbu do kontextu doby a představit autory, jimiž byl ve své tvorbě ovlivněn.

Abstract:

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to introduce the work of photographer Petr Klimpl from Brno and put it in the context of his most fruitful years, those being the 70s and 80s years of the 20th century. This work also introduces his photographic beginnings, when he applied himself in theatrical photography and cityscape. In the first half of the 70s he created his first photographic series of abandoned city nooks and corners titled The Vanishing World. At the turn of the decade he dedicated himself to portrait photography and subjective documentary activity, influenced by both visualism and predominantly by the theory of the so-called indecisive moment, defined by Vladimír Birgus. This theory is also the subject matter of a photographic group named Dokument, which was founded by Petr Klimpl, Vladimír Birgus and Josef Pokorný. Klimpl's journalistic photography and his attendance at photographic workshops is also mentioned, as well as the exhibit Czech Amateur Photography 1945-1989, of which he was the curator. In the conclusion of this thesis I attempt to put Klimpl's work into the context of the times and introduce other authors by whom he was influenced.
