Family and the handicapped person

Abstract:

Cílem mé bakalářské práce, která nese název Rodina a postižený jedinec, je informovat její čtenáře o problematice života osoby se zdravotním postižením a jeho rodiny. Zaměřila jsem se zejména na oblast mentální retardace, rodiny a ergoterapie, ucelené rehabilitace a sociální rehabilitace. V obecné části práce popisuji problematiku MR, její definice, typy MR, etiologii a diagnostiku. Také jsem se snažila přiblížit čtenářům oblast rodiny jako společenského soužití, její funkce a důležitost. V závěru obecné části uvádím svůj průzkum, ten jsem provedla s pomocí osob, které mají v rodině zdravotně postiženého člena. Do speciální části jsem zařadila kapitoly týkající se ucelené rehabilitace, ergoterapie a sociální rehabilitace. U každé z této kapitol uvádím cíle a uplatnění u MR. Hlavní část jsem zpracovala na základě vyšetření a následného ergoterapeutického plánu. V terapii jsem se soustředila na ADL, jemnou motoriku, kognitivní funkce a grafomotoriku. Důležitá byla podrobná edukace rodiny a zapojení rodiny do samotné terapie.

Abstract:

The aim of my thesis, which is entitled Family and handicapped person, is to inform readers about the life issues of people with disabilities and their families. I mainly focused on mental retardation, families, and occupational therapy, comprehensive rehabilitation and social rehabilitation. I describe problems of MR, its definition, types of MR, etiology and diagnosis in the general part. I also tried to&nb sp;bring to readers the area of social coexistence, its function and importance. I present my research which was done by people who have a disabled family member in the conclusion of the general part of my thesis I included the chapters concerning comprehensive rehabilitation, occupational therapy and social rehabilitation in the special part of my thesis. I state objective and application of MR for each of the chapters. The main part I worked on was based on examination and subsequent occupational therapy plan. I focused on fine motor skills, ADL, cognitive function and graphomotor in the therapy. Important was a detailed family education and involvement of the family into therapy itself.
