The numerical solving of the Poisson equation describing the distribution of the potential of the electric field

Abstract:

Předmětem této bakalářské práce je popis řešení Poissonovy rovnice, která popisuje rozložení elektrického potenciálu v elektrickém poli, pomocí numerické metody. Pro přesné řešení slouží analytické metody, které jsou omezené jen pro jednoduché oblasti, proto je potřeba zvolit vhodnou numerickou metodu i když poskytuje jenom přibližné řešení. Touto numerickou metodou je metoda konečných diferencí. Cílem této práce je porovnat řešení analytické metody s numerickou metodou a pomocí numerické metody vyřešit Poissonovu rovnici.

Abstract:

A point of this bachelor thesis is to describe the solving of the Poisson equation, which describes the distribution of the electric potential in the electric field by numerical method. For the correct solving we are using analytical methods, which are limited only for simply solutions, which are why we need to choose some fitting numerical method even if it provides us only approximately solving. This numerical method is the finite difference method. The point of this work is to compare the solving of analytical method with numerical method and by numerical method resolve the Poisson equation.
