Proper Names of Coal Mines - Witnesses of Regional History

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce na téma Vlastní jména dolů jako svědectví o minulosti regionu je zaměřena na analýzu názvů ostravských dolů a dělnických kolonií. Důraz je kladen na zachycení změn v průběhu jejich existence a na příčiny těchto změn. Zároveň se práce věnuje promítnutí názvů ostravských dolů a dělnických kolonií do pojmenování ulic, tramvajových, autobusových a trolejbusových zastávek. Autor se také snaží obohatit práci o své myšlenky a odpovědět na některé otázky, které souvisí s tématem názvů dolů.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis called The Proper Names of the Coal Mines as the Witnesses of the Regional History is focused on the analysis dealing with the names of Ostrava coal mines and worker?s colonies. The emphasis is laid on depiction of the changes of the names during the existence of the coal mines and their causes. At the same time, the thesis is engaged with presentation of Ostrava coal mines and worker?s colonies as a source of the naming of the streets, tram stops, bus stops and trolleybus stops. The author also tries to enrich the thesis with his own thoughts and to answer some questions which are linked with the topic names of the coal mines.
