Anne Frank's Diaries in GFL: Creative Use of Literary and Comic Book Texts in Class

Abstract:

This thesis is a didactisation of The Diary of Anne Frank and its comic version. The aim of the thesis is to point out the possibility of using literary texts in teaching German as a foreign language at B1-B2 level. The thesis is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part -introduces the didactics of literature, forms of work in classroom, teaching Holocaust in middle school, and Anne Frank as a historic person. The practical part deals with teaching technique suggestions; these are divided into six thematic units and offer specific approaches of working with diary and comic texts for teachers. Worksheets can be used in any order according to teacher's preference.

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce je didaktickým zpracováním námětů knihy Anne Frank Tagebuch a její komiksové verze. Cílem práce je poukázat na možnost využití literárních textů v rámci němčiny jako cizího jazyka na úrovni B1-B2. Práce je rozdělena na teoretickou a praktickou část. V teoretické části je představena didaktika literatury, formy práce s žáky, role holocaustu ve vyučování a představena Anne Frank. V praktické části jsou zpracovány náměty do výuky, které jsou rozděleny na šest tematických celků a nabízí učitelům konkrétní možnosti práce s deníkovými a komiksovými texty. Pracovní listy mohou být použity v libovolném pořadí dle preference učitele.
