Dynamic T2 and T2*-contrast enhanced MR imaging

Abstract:

V práci jsou shrnuty principy fenoménu nukleární magnetické resonance se zaměřením na MR zobrazování. Práce je zaměřena na měření transverzálního relaxačního času T2. Jako vzorky byly použity běžně dostupné gely a paramagnetické nanočástice Fe2O3. Tyto částice složily také jako kontrastní látka při studiu perfuzního zobrazování (DSC-MRI), jehož výsledky jsou taktéž součástí této práce. Práce dále obsahuje příklady artefaktů vzniklých při měření na MR zařízení používaném v Ústavu přístrojové techniky AV ČR, v.v.i. Spolu s nimi jsou uvedeny také možnosti jejich řešení.

Abstract:

In my thesis, the principles of nuclear magnetic resonance phenomenon, with the focus on MR imaging are summarized. The work is aimed at measuring transverse relaxation time T2. Commercially available gels and paramagnetic Fe2O3 nanoparticles were used as samples. These particles are applied as a contrast agent for perfusion imaging study (DSC-MRI), the results of which are also included in this work. The work includes examples of artifacts caused by the MR measurement techniques used at the Institute of Scientific Instruments AS CR. Along with them, possible solutions are also presented.
