Demography changes in Chomutov in the second half of the 18th century

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce řeší téma demografických změn na Chomutovsku v druhé polovině 18. století. Cílem této práce je na základě demografických pramenů vystihnout nejdůležitější demografické změny ve struktuře obyvatel na Chomutovsku. Práce sleduje počet narozených dětí, uzavřených sňatků a počet zemřelých, kteří umírali v důsledku hladomoru a různých epidemií, jež zasáhly území českých zemí. Dále práce mapuje věkovou skladbu obyvatelstva v rámci Chomutovska. Dílčím cílem je zjištění vlivu a dopadu konce tzv. malé doby ledové na populaci ve farnosti Chomutova.

Abstract:

Bachelor thesis is dealing with the topic of demographic changes in the Chomutov region in the second half of the 18th century. The aim of this thesis is to describe the most important demographic changes in the structure of the population in the Chomutov region based on the demographic sources. The thesis follows the number of births, marriages and the number of deaths who died due to famine and various epidemics that hit the territory of bohemian lands. Furthermore, the thesis is mapping the age structure of population within the Chomutov region. The partial aim is to find out the influence and impact of the end of the socalled small ice age on the population in the Chomutov parish.
