The multi-pillar system of social security and the reform of social security in the Czech republic

Abstract:

Cílem bakalářské práce na téma "Vícepilířový systém sociálního zabezpečení a reforma sociálního zabezpečení v ČR" je zhodnocení současného systému sociálního zabezpečení a vyhodnocení další etapy důchodové reformy v České republice, která byla zahájena 1. 1. 2013. První část popisuje historii sociálního zabezpečení, která značně ovlivnila vývoj sociálního zabezpečení jak u nás, tak v ostatních zemích. V práci je všeobecně popsán systém sociálního zabezpečení a po té je konkretizován přímo na Českou republiku. V druhé části si práce klade za cíl popis jednotlivých pilířů (jejich výhody a nevýhody), které občanům České republiky důchodová reforma přinesla. Dále pak práce porovnává jednotlivé varianty na spoření na dobu ve stáří a poté je hodnotí z hlediska efektivnosti. Druhá část práce se opírá o informace získané z rozhovorů s jednotlivými penzijními společnostmi.

Abstract:

The aim of the bachelor thesis on the topic of "The multi-pillar social security system and the social security reform in the Czech Republic" is to assess the current social security system and to evaluate the next stage of the pension reform in the Czech Republic, which was started on the first of January 2013. The first part describes the history of social security system, which influenced greatly the development of social security in our country as well as in other countries. The thesis describes the social security system in general and then in the Czech Republic specifically. The goal of the second part of the thesis is to describe the single pillars (including their advantages and disadvantages) which the reform has brought to the citizens of the Czech Republic. Furthermore, the thesis compares single options for saving for old age and afterwards their evaluation in terms of efficiency. The second part of the thesis is based on information gained from interviews with individual pension companies.
