Current problems of beginning teachers in primary schools

Abstract:

Diplomová práce na téma Aktuální problémy začínajících učitelů 1. stupně se zabývá specifickou skupinou pedagogických pracovníků a jejími aktuálními problémy v praxi. Cílem teoretické části je shromáždit odborné informace o začínajících učitelích a o jejich uvádění do profese. Pojednává o profesi učitele, o vývoji profesní identity a o profesní dráze učitele. Definuje roli uvádějícího učitele a přibližuje možnosti uvádění začínajících učitelů. Popisuje problémy začínajících učitelů, s kterými se setkávají na počátku své profesní dráhy. Cílem empirické části je zjistit, jaké jsou aktuální problémy začínajících učitelů 1. stupně ZŠ, zda se cítí být připraveni vysokoškolským studiem na profesní činnosti a jak hodnotí začínající učitelé kvalitu poskytnuté odborné pedagogické pomoci ze strany uvádějícího učitele. Výsledky výzkumu jsou komparovány s výzkumem O. Šimoníka (1994). Pro splnění vytyčených cílů využijeme typ smíšeného modelu výzkumu.

Abstract:

This master's thesis Contemporary problems of beginning primary school teachers deals with a specific group of pedagogical workers and their contemporary problems in practice. The theoretical part aims to gather expert information about beginning teachers and their introduction to the profession. It deals with the teacher's profession, development of professional identity and the teacher's career. It defines the senior teacher's role and shows us how they can help fledgling teachers at their job. It also describes the problems that beginning teachers have. The aim of the empirical part is to detect what are the contemporary problems of beginning primary school teachers, if they feel prepared for their vocational activities by their undergraduate studies and how they evaluate the quality of expert pedagogical help provided by the initiatory teacher. The results of the research are compared with those of O. Šimoník (1994). We will use mixed model of research to achieve the goals we have marked out.
