Evaluation of nutritional parameters of infant formula

Abstract:

V literární rešerši diplomové práce je popsáno složení mateřského mléka a legislativní úprava týkající se umělých mléčných náhrad. Dále je zde část týkající se kojení a také faktorů, které mohou ovlivňovat složení mateřského mléka. Praktická část diplomové práce je věnována vlivu délky laktace na hodnotu pH, obsah tuku, bílkovin, laktózy a sušiny mateřského mléka. Bylo zjištěno, že délka laktace má vliv na obsah bílkovin a laktózy. V další části je zkoumána umělá mléčná výživa a její obsah tuku, bílkovin a laktózy v porovnání s údaji na obalech. Největší rozdíly v porovnání s údaji na obalu byly zjištěny u obsahu laktózy, kde výrobci uváděly nižší hodnoty obsahu laktózy, než byly naměřené hodnoty. Poslední část zkoumá rozdíly mezi mateřským mlékem a umělou mléčnou výživou. Vzorky byly rozděleny do dvou skupin, dle věku dítěte, a to od 0-6 měsíců a 6-12 měsíců. U první skupiny byly zjištěné rozdíly u hodnoty pH a obsahu laktózy. U druhé skupiny byly rozdíly u všech zkoumaných parametrů kromě obsahu tuku.

Abstract:

This literary research describes the composition of breast milk and legislative amendment in relation to artificial milk replacements. Furthermore, there is a section relating to breastfeeding as well as factors that may affect the breast milk composition. The practical part of this dissertation is focused on the effect of the lactation length to pH, fat content, proteins, lactose and dry matter of breast milk. It suggested that the lactation length affects the protein and lactose content. In the next part of the dissertation, it has been looked into the artificial milk formula and its fat, protein and lactose content compared to the data on the packaging. The biggest differences were found in the lactose content, producers presented lower lactose content than the measured values. Finally, the last part shows the differences between breast milk and artificial milk nutrition. These samples have been divided into two groups; depending on the age of the child, from 0-6 months and 6-12 months. There are findings that there are differences between pH values and lactose content in the first group. In the second group, there are differences in all parameters examined apart from the fat content.
