Estimates of the Principal Eigenvalue of Boundary Value Problems
Abstract:
Tématem bakalářské práce jsou odhady prvního vlastního čísla okrajových úloh. Odvodili jsme vztah pro horní odhad pomocí Rayleighova podílu a pro dolní odhad s využitím Piconeho identity. Zaměřili jsme se na konstrukci testovací funkce pomocí kubického splinu. Abychom získali zaručený odhad, použili jsme intervalovou aritmetiku. Řešení demonstrujeme na dvou konkrétních úlohách. Abstract:
The topic of this thesis are estimates of principal eigenvalue of boundary value problems. We deduced a formula for upper bound using Rayleigh quotient and for lower bound with Picone identity. We focused on building the test function using the cubic spline. We utilized an interval arithmetic to obtain the guaranteed estimate.
