Evaluation of possibilities of propagation and cultivation of subtropical fruit species in the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce, s názvem Zhodnocení možností množení a pěstování subtropických ovocných druhů v ČR, řeší dostupnost subtropických užitkových rostlin ve vybraných zahradnictvích a internetových obchodech v rámci České republiky formou přímého šetření. Byly vytipovány perspektivní a nejčastěji nabízené subtropické rostliny na českém trhu, které je možno s ohledem na klimatické podmínky pěstovat v České republice. Formou dotazníku byly zjišťovány informace o umístění provozoven v rámci České republiky, zda provozují maloobchod nebo velkoobchod, jaký je způsob prodeje a dopravy a nabídka vybraných subtropických druhů. U jednotlivých druhů ovocných rostlin byla šetřena nabídka odrůd, cenová dostupnost, původ nabízených rostlin a sezónnost prodeje. Ze zjištěných výsledků je zřejmé, že sortiment nabízených subtropických rostlin je rozdílný. Cenová dostupnost je závislá na velikosti a stáří rostlin a nabídka celoročního prodeje souvisí s formou prodeje.

Abstract:

The bachelor's thesis, entitled Evaluation of the Possibilities of Propagation and Cultivation of Subtropical Fruit Species in the Czech Republic, addresses the availability of subtropical useful plants in selected horticultural and online stores in the Czech Republic in the form of a direct survey. Promising and most frequently offered subtropical plants on the Czech market, which can be grown in the Czech Republic with regard to climatic conditions, were selected. In the form of a questionnaire, information was obtained on the location of establishments within the Czech Republic, whether they operate retail or wholesale, what is the method of sale and transport and the offer of selected subtropical species. The offer of varieties, affordability, origin of offered plants and seasonality of sales were investigated for individual types of fruit plants. It is clear from the results that the range of subtropical plants offered is different. Affordability depends on the size and age of the plants and the offer of year-round sales is related to the form of sale.
