Neo Cold War in the 21st Century with Focusing on Power Rivalry in Afghanistan

Abstract:

Cílem práce bylo nejen rozšíření orientace v konfliktech a válkách v Afghánistánu, ale okrajově i snaha o pochopení všech vybraných participantů a ponaučení se z nich, jakožto zásadní memento. Zároveň jde však často o příliš zjednodušující až naivní pohled Západu, který se svou vlastní optikou snaží dění v zemi porozumět či spíše implementovat svůj vlastní pohled na věc. Tento postoj Západu vyvrací i referenti dotazníku. Z tohoto úhlu pohledu pak přirozeně vyplývá i následný mnohdy překvapivý vývoj v zemi a regionu (a to včetně neočekávaného vývoje i z pohledu zpravodajských služeb). Nyní, nezávisle na představách a snahách Západu, se bude vývoj Afghánistánu pravděpodobně dlouhodoběji odehrávat s větším mocenským vlivem Číny a Indie. Přesto tradičnějším kmenovým pojetím. Vzhledem k velmi špatné výchozí pozici je jakýkoliv potenciální růst životní úrovně a bezpečnosti klíčovým prvkem pro úspěšný vývoj „mladistvé“ země. Je proto v zájmu prakticky celého světa, a především samotných občanů, aby se situace stabilizovala.

Abstract:

The aim of the thesis was not only to broaden the orientation in the conflicts and wars in Afghanistan, but also to try to understand and educate all the selected stakeholders as a fundamental memento. At the same time, however, it is often an oversimplistic, even naive, view of the „Western world“, that is trying to understand or rather implement its own perspective on what is happening in this country. This attitude of the West is refuted by my questionnaire's results that are included and somewhat analysed in the thesis. This point of view naturally leads to the subsequent, often surprising developments in the country and the region (including unexpected developments from the perspective of the intelligence services). Now, irrespective of Western perceptions and aspirations, Afghanistan's development is likely to play out over the longer term with greater power influence from China and India. Yet possibly in a more traditional tribal way. Given its very poor starting position, any potential growth in living standards and security is a key element in the successful development of a 'youthful' country. It is therefore in the interest of virtually the whole world, and above all the Afghani citizens themselves, that the situation should stabilise despite and because of this.
