Communication Strategies in the Letters by Catherine Wilhelmine, Duchess of Sagan to Prince von Metternich and Frederic Lamb

Abstract:

Tato práce se zabývá komunikačními strategiemi v dopisech Kateřiny Vilemíny vévodkyně Zaháňské Klemensi knížeti Metternichovi a Frederiku Jamesi Lambovi v letech 1813 ? 1815. Začátek práce představuje jednotlivé subjekty komunikace. Následující kapitola představuje dopis a charakterizuje jej jako prostředek komunikace. Těžiště práce spočívá v porovnání dopisů jedné autorky více adresátům. Práce analyzuje komunikační strategie prostřednictvím sebestylizací autora, stylizací adresátů a zobrazeného světa. Nabízí nový, netradiční pohled na oblíbené prameny a život aristokracie v první polovině 19. století.

Abstract:

This work is about communication strategies in letters from Catherine Wilhelmine, Duchess of Sagan to Prince von Metternich and Frederic Lamb in 1813 ? 1815. Each person is introduced at the beginning of the work. The following chapter describes a letter as means of communication. The concern of the work consists in comparing letters of the same writer to different addressees. The work analysis self-stylisations of the writer subject, stylisations of the addressee subject and stylisations of other elements of the world. It offers a new, unconventional view of popular sources and lifestyle of aristocracy in the first half of the 19th century.
