Physical Security Information Management Systems in Railway Transport

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou nadstavbových bezpečnostních systémů kategorie Physical Security Information Management (dále jen "PSIM") a jejich využitím v oblasti železniční dopravy v ČR. Práce je rozdělena na teoretickou a praktickou část. Teoretická část ve stručnosti prezentuje současný stav železniční dopravy v ČR se zaměřením na její technologickou modernizaci v oblastí řízení dopravy a zajišťování bezpečnosti. Větší část teorie je věnována samotným PSIM systémům a jejich charakteristice. Dále analyzuje jejich vlastnosti, strukturu a architekturu, a analyzuje bezpečnostní i legislativní požadavky české železnice pro jejich využití. Praktická část diplomové práce je zaměřena na analýzu bezpečnostních, řídících a informačních systémů pro efektivní integraci do PSIM systému v prostředí české železnice a návrh funkčního modelu pro centralizovaný bezpečnostní dispečink. Tato část je podložena vhodným typem analýzy rizik v segmentu. Praktická část také uvádí několik modelových příkladů využití PSIM systémů v daném segmentu. Výsledkem diplomové práce jsou modelová nasazení PSIM na železnici v ČR.

Abstract:

The master's thesis examines issues relating to Physical Security Information Management (hereinafter "PSIM") superstructure systems and their use in rail transport in the Czech Republic. The thesis is divided into two sections; one focuses on the theoretical background and the other on practical applications. The theory section contains an overview of the current state of rail transport in the Czech Republic, where focus concentrates on the modernization of technology for traffic control and security. A large part of the theory section is dedicated to a review of PSIM systems and their characteristics. Further, the theory section analysis the parameters, structure, and architecture of PSIM systems, and analyzes legislative and security-related requirements for their use on Czech railways. The practical section focuses on analyzing security, control, and information systems with regard to the effective integration of PSIM systems on Czech railways. The section also proposes a functional model of a centralized security control center. The practical section is supported by a risk analysis of a type appropriate for the relevant segment. Moreover, the section contains several model examples of the use of PSIM systems in the given segment. The master's thesis provides a set of examples of the deployment of PSIM systems on railways in the Czech Republic.
