The Image of Childhood in the Campaign "Chain of Love for Children"

Abstract:

Cílem práce je rekonstruovat obraz dětství produkovaný kampaní zaměřenou proti dětskému kouření „Řetěz lásky k dětem“. Jde o kvalitativní obsahovou analýzu textových dokumentů kampaně. Autor stojí na pozici sociálního konstruktivismu a dítě i jeho dětství chápe jako historicky a kulturně konstruované. Dětství je chápáno jako sociální instituce a sociální prostor, zatímco dítě chápáno jako sociální kategorie. Neexistuje tedy jediné dětství. Při analýze kamapaně byly nalezeny biologicko-evoluční a socializační modely dětství. Dětství by dle nich mělo být chráněno pro své specifické rysy.

Abstract:

The main aim of this writing is to reconstruct the image of childhood produced by campaign against the child smoking „The chain for love“. That effort is made by qualitative content analysis of campaign text documents. Author of writing stands on social constructive position, so child and his childhood is understood as historically and culturally constructed. No exists the only one childhood. The childhood is social institution and social space and child is social category. There has been found in the content analysis, that campaign was working with biologically-evolutional and socializational models of childhood. The child shall be protected in that models, because of his specific characteristics.
