Green-Ampt and SCS-CN Methods in Rainfall-Runoff Model

Abstract:

Hlavním cílem diplomové práce je odvození vstupních parametrů pro metody SCS-CN a Green-Ampt a porovnání výsledků těchto metod (modelované průtoky) ve srážkoodtokovém modelu HEC-HMS. V první části práce je popsán srážkoodtokový proces a faktory, které jej ovlivňují. Dále je vysvětlen základní princip metody SCS-CN a metody Green-Ampt. Nechybí ani stručná charakteristika zájmového území povodí Ostravice, popis použitých programových prostředků a charakteristika vstupních dat. Ve druhé části práce je popsána metodika odvozování vstupních parametrů pro obě zvolené metody. Následuje popis schematizace povodí pro model HEC-HMS. V závěrečné části práce je charakterizován průběh modelování obou metod v prostředí srážkoodtokového modelu HEC-HMS a nechybí ani porovnání výsledků.

Abstract:

The aim of the thesis is to derive the input parameters of the SCS-CN and Green-Ampt methods and to compare the results of these methods (modeled flow rates) in rainfall-runoff model HEC-HMS. A rainfall-runoff process including elements influencing the process is described in the first part of the thesis. There are also explained the main principles of SCS-CN and Green-Ampt methods. The first part contains summarization of the Ostravice basin, description of software used and the input data characteristics too. In the second part of the thesis, a methodology for derivation of input parameters for both chosen methods is described. There is a specification of schematization of the Ostravice basin for the HEC-HMS model. Characteristics of modeling using both of the methods in a rainfall-runoff HEC-HMS model is summarized in the final part of the thesis, which contains also results of the comparison.
