Abstract:

Práce pojednává o varhanářské firmě Rieger, která rozvíjela svou produkci v letech 1873-2018 ve slezském městě Krnově. Továrna fungující pod názvy Gebrüder Rieger, Rieger, Varhany Krnov - Rieger-Kloss a Rieger-Kloss s.r.o., patřila převážnou část své existence k největším světovým výrobcům varhan, během svého trvání vyrobila necelých 4000 nástrojů. Práce reflektuje její historii, specifika nástrojové produkce z hlediska konstrukčních technologií, uměleckého a zvukového ideálu, výrobních technologií, ale také otázky obchodní strategie, organizace výroby, či širších společenských kontextů, které chod krnovské továrny ovlivňovaly.

Abstract:

This work deals with the Rieger organbuilding company, which was developing its production in 1873-2018 in the Silesian town of Krnov. The factory working under the names Gebrüder Rieger, Rieger, Varhany Krnov - Rieger-Kloss and Rieger-Kloss s.r.o., belonged, for a major part of its duration, to the world largest organ producers, producing nearly 4,000 instruments during its period of existence. The work reflects its history, the specifics of instrument production in terms of design technologies, artistic and sound ideal, production technologies, as well as business strategy, organizing of production or broader social contexts, which were influencing the running of the factory in Krnov.
