Influencing aspects of suicidal behavior of adolescents in the Ostrava region

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou sebevražedného jednání mladistvých, které je specifické především svými aspekty v závislosti na věku této skupiny. Myslím si, že každému z nás někdy v životě proběhla hlavou myšlenka o dobrovolném ukončení života, jako řešení těžké životní situace. Tyto těžké životní situace zcela jistě přichází i v krizovém období dospívání. V části teoretické se pozornost zaměřuje na vymezení pojmu, historii sebevražd, aspekty suicidálního chování dospívajících, formy a techniky sebevražd, sebepoškozování, znázornění vývoje sebevražednosti mladistvých, a prevenci tohoto patologického jevu. Cílem praktické části bylo zjistit možné příčiny sebevražedného jednání ze strany studentů jedné střední školy z Ostravy. Práce ukáže jaké aspekty a faktory mohou sebevražedné chování způsobovat a ovlivňovat, jak lze takovému chování předcházet, zda studenti považují dostupnou odbornou pomoc za účinnou, a zda by ji sami v případě potřeby vyhledali.

Abstract:

This bachelor?s thesis deals with adolescents suicidal behavior which is specific to its dependency on the age of the group. I think all of us have ever thought about a voluntary termination of life, as a solution in a difficult life situation. The difficult situation in life certainly comes in the crisis of adolescence phase. The theoretical part is focused on the basic definitions, history of suicide, suicidal behavior of adolescents, aspects, forms and techniques of suicide, self harm and prevention of this pathological phenomenon. The aim of the practical part is investigating possible causes of suicidal behavior on the group of students from Ostrava high school. The work shows what aspects and factors may cause suicidal behavior and how to prevent such behavior, whether students think about available professional help as an effective way for solving such problems and whether they would seek it if necessary.
