Abstract:

Magisterská diplomová práce shrnuje práci uměleckých šéfů, Karla Jerneka, Karla Dostala a Zdeňka Bittla ve Východočeském divadle v Pardubicích v letech 1956–1960. Podrobně seznamuje s dramaturgií Městského divadla v Pardubicích po odchodu významného režiséra Karla Nováka. Zaznamenává, jak se Východočeské divadlo dále vyvíjelo během vedoucího působení tří zmíněných osobností, shrnuje jejich tvůrčí a inscenační postupy, práci jejich kolegů a celkovou společenskou a politickou situací druhé poloviny padesátých let.

Abstract:

This Master’s thesis sums up the work of art directors Karel Jernek, Karel Dostal and Zdeněk Bittl in the East Bohemian Theatre in Pardubice between 1956 and 1960. It offers a thorough introduction to the dramaturgy of the theatre after the leave of Karel Novák, a significant director. The thesis further investigates the development of the East Bohemian Theatre during the reign of the three aforementioned leading figures, their creative and staging processes, the work of their colleagues and the whole sociopolitical situation in the second half of 1950’s.
