Microfinance as investment possibility

Abstract:

Předmětem diplomové práce „Mikrofinance jako možnost investování“ je zhodnocení mikrofinancí jako potenciálního investičního nástroje pro širokou investiční veřejnost. Mikrofinance jako poměrně nový pojem na finančních trzích jsou nejprve vymezeny a jsou analyzovány důvody, jež vedly k jejich vzniku. Naznačen je historický vývoj a aktuální trendy. Hlavní pozornost je zaměřena na analýzu a zhodnocení možností, které k zapojení do mikrofinancování nabízí finanční trh. U vybraných produktů jsou identifikovány jejich silné a slabé stránky a je upozorněno na možné hrozby a příležitosti v dané oblasti. V závěru práce jsou vyslovena doporučení pro investora.

Abstract:

The subject of the diploma thesis „Microfinance as investment possibility“ is an evaluation of microfinance as a potential investment vehicle for broad investing public. Being a relatively new concept on financial markets, microfinance is first defined and then the reasons that lead to its establishment are analysed. History and recent trends are outlined. The main attention is focused on analysis and evaluation of the possibilities to invest in microfinance on financial markets. Strengths and weaknesses as well as opportunities and threats of selected products are identified. At the end of the thesis the recommendations for investor are pronounced.
