Job satisfaction through the eyes of today's teachers

Abstract:

Předkládaná bakalářská práce se zabývá pracovní spokojeností v učitelské profesi z pohledu samotných pedagogických pracovníků. V teoretické části se zaměřuji na charakteristiku učitelské profese, profesní dráhu učitele, důvody pro volbu tohoto povolání a na potřeby, které pedagogové deklarují. V závěrečné kapitole teoretické části jsou shrnuty výsledky dosavadních výzkumů, které byly provedeny v oblasti motivace a pracovní spokojenosti těchto pracovníků. V empirické části se zaměřuji na to, jaké důvody vedly vybrané pedagogické pracovníky k volbě jejich profese a jaké mají potřeby v oblasti pracovní motivace, které vedou ke spokojenosti v jejich povolání.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with job satisfaction in the teaching profession from the perspective of teacher themselves. In the theoretical part, I focus on the characteristics of the teaching profession, the teacher’s career, the reasons for choosing this profession and the needs tfat teachers declare. The final chaptersummarizes the theoretical results of previous researches, that were conducted in the area of motivation and job satisfaction of teachers. In the empirical part, I focus on the reasons which led the selected teachers to choose their profession and what are their needs for work motivation, which led to the satisfaction in their profession.
