Design and optimization of BLDC machine

Abstract:

Práce se zabývá návhrem BLDC stroje s 3D tištěným rotorem. Návrh vychází z rozvržení reálného stroje REX 30. S využitím simulací postavených na metodě konečných prvků byl nahrazen materiál rotoru a provedena optimalaziace rozvržení permanentních magnetů pomocí princpipu Halbachova pole s ohledem na zvýšení točivého momentu. V další části se práce zabývá modelem šíření tepla pro stroj s tištěným rotorem. V závěru práce se vyhodnocují výsledky simulací s ohledem na funkčnost stroje dle šíření tepla, teplotních omezení materiálů a vypočtěné momentové charakteristiky stroje.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the design of a BLDC machine with 3D printed rotor. The design is based on a real machine REX 30. Using simulations based on a finite element method, the material of a rotor was replaced and the permanent magnets layout was optimized with a Halbach array principle and respect to increasing of the torque. In the next part, thesis is focused on a heat transfer model for the machine with 3D printed rotor. In the final part of the thesis there are evaluated results of simulations with respect to the heat tranfering, heat limitations and computed toque characteristics of the machine.
