The Capacities of a Program for Child Protection Against Bullying in Elementary Schools: Case Study

Abstract:

Školní šikanou je podle výzkumů v České republice ohroženo přes 40% žáků. Avšak většina škol není připravena tento problém řešit. Důvodem může být mj. nedostačující vysokoškolské vzdělání učitelů v oblasti šikany, nízká informovanost veřejnosti a rodičů žáků o tomto problému, nedostatečné zdroje, které mají školy k dispozici či např. nepostačující legislativní pravomoci školy. Tato diplomová práce se zabývá programem na ochranu žáků před šikanou na záměrně vybrané škole. Cílem této práce je zjistit, jaké jsou kapacity programů dosáhnout cíle, které stanovuje ředitelství školy s pomocí školního pedagogického pracoviště. Výzkumnými metodami této případové studie jsou rozhovor a studium dokumentů.

Abstract:

In accordance with research results, more than 40% pupils are endangered with school bullying in the Czech Republic. However, the major part of schools is not prepared to solve this problem. Unsatisfactory academic education of teachers in the field of bullying, low informedness about this problem of both public and pupils parents, deficient resources that schools dispose of, or inadequate legislative authority of schools can be the reasons. This diploma thesis is engaged in Pupils Protection Against Bullying Program at a purposely selected school. The task of this thesis is to investigate what the capacities of this programme are to achieve its goals provided by the School Management with the help of the School Pedagogical Station. Interview and document study are the research methods of this case study.
