Tato diplomová práce se zabývá tématem původu národů (origines gentium), jak jej chápaly ony samy, a to konkrétně Římanů, Gótů a Langobardů. Obsahuje rozbor pasáží z dochovaných antických a raně středověkých pramenů, ve kterých se vyskytují nejstarší zmínky o těchto národech pocházející z ústní tradice. Abstract:
This master thesis deals with the theme of origins of the nations (origines gentium), specifically Romans, Goths and Lombards. It analyses texts of preserved ancient and early medieval sources which present oldest oral tradition of nations. Then compares differences and common elements between the beginnings of Roman nation (and city of Rome) and origins of the barbaric nations.
