Abstract:

Diplomová práce popisuje nejdůležitější ikony světového i českého designu, které byly vzorem pro dnešní návrhářské práce. V práci je uvedena typologie retra, tedy určení rozdílů mezi reedicí a redesignem. Samostatnou kapitolou je důležitý článek Jana Michla rozebírající pojem redesign. Následně je krátce shrnut vývoj designu od průmyslové revoluce do devadesátých let dvacátého století. Hlavní kapitolou jsou ikony převážně z šedesátých let, které neustále ovlivňují dnešní design, neustále se vyrábí buďto podle původního návrhu nebo vznikají reedice nebo redesign předmětu. Část je rozdělena do několika podkapitol, kde jsou rozebírány vybrané oblasti designu- módní doplňky, hračky, porcelán a sedací nábytek. Cílem práce je upozornit na samotnou tematiku retra, jelikož se jedná o aktuální téma neuspořádané v žádné souhrnné publikaci.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis describes the most important icons of the world and Czech design, which were the models were for today's design works. The work presents typology of a retro style – determines the differences between reissue and redesign. A separate chapter deals with important article by Jan Michal about conception of redesign. In next part we briefly summarize the development of design since the industrial revolution in the nineties of 20th century. The main chapter covers icons, mostly from the sixties of 20th century that constantly affect the present design – either following by the original design or by redesign and reissue. This chapter is divided into several subchapters, which analyze selected areas of design- fashion accessories, toys, porcelain, furniture and seating. The aim of the diploma thesis is to draw attention to the actual retro topic, since it is a big issue not summary described in any publication.
