Corse - The Unknown France

Abstract:

The work with the name “Corsica – The Unknown France“ goes in for the Corsican cultural background. By this way it tries to point the large dissimilarity between the Corsican insular culture and its traditional folklore and the culture of the continental France, which is, by contrast to the regional Corsican culture, in general well known and rather deep-rooted in the awareness of the large public. In this work we can find an essay on the original Corsican language and on its literary demonstrations leading to the Corsican singing. But also we can find there the references to the extraordinary cultural-traditional phenomena that adhere to the genius loci of this in some degree neglected part of France.

Abstract:

Práce "Corse – France inconnue" se zabývá korsickým kulturním prostředím. Snaží se tak poukázat na velkou odlišnost mezi korsickou ostrovní kulturou, jejím tradičním folklórem a kulturou kontinentální Francie, která, na rozdíl od regionální korsické, je všeobecně známá a v povědomí široké veřejnosti poměrně zakořeněná. V práci nalezneme pojednání o původním korsickém jazyce, jeho literárních projevech, což nás zavede ke zmínkám o korsických zpěvech, ale také o neobvyklých kulturně-tradičních fenoménech, které jsou těsně spjaté s geniem loci této poněkud opomíjené součásti Francie.
