Cílem bakalářské práce je popsání odvětví investičního bankovnictví ve Spojených státech před a po pádu banky Lehman Brothers. Teoretická část je věnována historii investičního bankovnictví, produktům investičních bank a rekapitulaci finanční krize od roku 2007 dodnes.
