mHealth and its implementation in child and adolescent care

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá implementací mHealth do oblasti pro péči o děti a dorost. Cílem bakalářské práce je návrh mHealth řešení a jeho implementace do péče o děti a mladistvé za účelem podpory jejich zdraví a zvýšení tím prevenci budoucích onemocnění. V první části práce jsou uvedeny hlavní pojmy spojené s eHealth a zařazení mHealth do kontextu elektronického zdravotnictví. Je popsána současná situace mobilního zdravotnictví, dále jsou představeny legislativní rámce v Evropské unii a České republice. Nechybí ani technologické předpoklady potřebné pro implementaci a trendy, které mohou posunout tuto technologii o vyšší úroveň. Následuje kapitola o současném stavu pediatrie a analýza procesů s ní spojené. V návaznosti jsou uváděna dostupná mHealth řešení pro péči o děti a dorost. V praktické části práce je vypracován návrh a konkrétní řešení pro implementaci mobilního zdravotnictví do pediatrické péče. Na základě aktuálních procesů, které byly dříve důkladně zkoumány, byly vytvořeny nové procesy, které integrují prvky mobilního zdravotnictví, aby umožnily lékařům poskytovat efektivnější péči o děti a mládež. Závěr práce je věnován vyhodnocení celého návrhu dětskými lékaři.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with the implementation of mHealth in the field of child and adolescent care. The aim of the bachelor thesis is to design an mHealth solution and its implementation in child and adolescent care to promote their health and thus increase the prevention of future diseases. The first part of the thesis introduces the main concepts related to eHealth and the integration of mHealth into the context of eHealth. The current situation of mobile healthcare is described, including the legislative frameworks in the European Union and the Czech Republic. The necessary technological prerequisites for implementation and emerging trends that can advance this technology to a higher level are also presented. This is followed by a chapter on the current state of pediatrics and an analysis of the associated processes. Then followed by an introduction of available mHealth solutions for child and adolescent care. In the practical part of the thesis, a proposal design, and specific solutions for implementing mHealth in pediatric care are developed. Based on the thorough examination of current processes, new processes are designed that integrate elements of mHealth to enable healthcare professionals to provide more efficient care for children and adolescents. The conclusion of the thesis focuses on the evaluation of the entire proposal by pediatric physicians.
