Reflection and Thematization of Literary Criticism in Fiction by Michal Viewegh

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce s názvem "Reflexe a tematizace literární kritiky v prózách Michala Viewegha" se zabývá uvedením tvorby Michala Viewegha do kontextu vývoje české literatury a její recepce v devadesátých letech 20. století, dále vymezením samotného pojmu kritika a vývojem české literární kritiky po dané období. Následně přejdeme ke zmapování a analýze kritické rozpravy nad dílem Michala Viewegha, přičemž se budeme snažit o postižení momentů explicitní tematizace konkrétních projevů a poloh kritického diskurzu v autorových prózách devadesátých let 20. století. Hlavním cílem práce je na základě výkladů jednotlivých kritiků v rámci dílčích aspektů tvorby Michala Viewegha, ovšem s odkazy na celek jeho díla, postihnout zlom ve Vieweghově tvorbě a interpretovat tematickou rovinu kritiky v kontextu sémantické výstavby jeho textů.

Abstract:

The bachelor paper entitled "Reflexion and thematization of literary criticism in the fiction of Michal Viewegh" deals with the works of Michal Viewegh in context of the development of Czech literature and its acceptance in the 1990's. The thesis also focuses on defining the term criticism and the development of Czech literary criticism in the researched period. Furthermore, the paper maps and analysis critical discourse in Michal Viewegh's fiction. It also aim at depicting moments in the explicit thematization of manifestation and position of critical discourse in the prose written mainly in the 1990's. The main aim of this paper is to capture a turning point in Viewegh's fiction and to interpret thematic level of criticism in the context of semantic construction of his texts. The basis for the research became critics' interpretations of key aspects of Viewegh's fiction.
