Drug Addicted People from the Gender Perspective

Abstract:

Tato práce se zabývá problematikou drogově závislých z genderové perspektivy. Jejím cílem je zkoumat, zda klienti Léčebny návykových nemocí Nechanice mají z genderového hlediska odlišné potřeby. Pokud ano, zda jsou tyto potřeby zohledňovány při procesu léčby, jakým způsobem vnímají odlišné potřeby mužů a žen pracovníci léčebny a zda existují možnosti přizpůsobit těmto potřebám nastavení služeb. V teoretické části práce jsou vysvětleny základní pojmy týkající se drogové závislosti, genderová problematika obecně, specifické problémy vztahující se k drogově závislým ženám a potřeby, které u žen ve vztahu k drogám nejsou saturovány. Pro výzkumné šetření využiji kvalitativní výzkum, konkrétněji metodu interview, které jsem uskutečnila s klienty i s pracovníky v léčebně, a studium organizačních dokumentů. Následně tyto rozhovory analyzuji a interpretuji, shrnuji výsledky mého výzkumného šetření, a vyvozuji závěr.

Abstract:

The thesis is focused on the gender differences among drug addicted people. Its aim is to examine whether the clients in the Medical Institution for Addicted Diseases in Nechanice have different needs from the gender perspective. If they do, whether their needs are considered in the process of treatment, in what way the needs are understood by professionals and if there are possibilities of adjusting the service setups to them.There are basic definitions explained in the theoretical part which are connected with drug addiction, gender studies and then some basic facts about the specifics of drug addicted women and the needs which the women describe as unfulfilled. I will use the qualitative method for my research, which consists of several interviews made with the clients and professionals during my visits in the institution. I will connect these interviews with the intern documents borrowed from the professionals and latterly I will analyze and interpret the interviews, make a summary of the results and the conclusion.
