The aim of this thesis is socio-literary comparison of two main heroines of Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice (Elizabeth Bennet) and Elizabeth Gaskell's North and South (Margaret Hale).

Cílem této práce je srovnání dvou hlavních představitelek na základě literárně-kulturní analýzy románů Jane Austenové Pýcha a Předsudek (Elizabeth Bennetová) a Elizabeth Gaskellové Sever a Jih (Margaret Hale).
