Real Irish Republican Army - profile of the group

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá analýzou organizace Pravá irská republikánská armáda, která působila mezi lety 1997 a 2012 v Severním Irsku. Tato skupina doposud nebyla v česko-jazyčném prostředí významnějším způsobem popsána. V teoretické části jsou představeny typologie etnického, teritoriálního a iredentistického terorismu. Nechybí ani přestavení mikro, mezo a makro terorismus a koncept paramilitarismu. Druhá část pak představuje stručnou charakteristiku Severního Irska a tzv. The Troublels. Poté je popsána Pravá irská republikánská armáda, a to v rámci kapitol: vznik, ideologie a cíle, výzbroj, financování, aktivity a struktura organizace. Na konci práce je RIRA zařazena do konceptuálního rámce představeného v první části práce.

Abstract:

Thesis deals with the analysis of the organization Real Irish Republican Army, which operated between 1997 and 2012 in Northern Ireland. This group has not yet been in a Czech-language environment in an important way described. The theoretical part presents a typology of ethnic, territorial and irredentist terrorism. This part also presents micro, meso and macro concept of terrorism and paramilitarism and well. The second part presents brief characteristics of Northern Ireland and The Troublels. Real Irish Republican Army is described within chapters: origin, ideology and objectives, weapons, funding and structure of the organization. At the end of this thesis RIRA is classified into the conceptual framework presented in the first part.
